With the rapid growth and globalisation of today's market for legal services, the need for authentic legal translations has never been greater. To satisfy this need, Bedford Translations employ specialist legal translators and has become a leading legal translation company.
Solicitors' practices, barristers' chambers, government departments, local authorities require legal translations. As do company secretaries, accountants, tendering managers, export managers...
Effective legal translation can only be carried out by appropriately qualified legal translators. The majority that we employ have at least ten years full-time experience in translation of legal documents - contract translation, insurance translation, tender translation, litigation translation, as well as articles of association, terms and conditions of sale/purchase, writs, expert opinions, distributor agreements, pleadings, powers of attorney and so on.
Our translators are native speakers with good language degrees and appropriate postgraduate qualifications, with specific experience in legal translation. This means that they're specialised, for example in German to English legal translation, English to Spanish legal translation, English to French legal translation and French to English legal translation. Likewise, they're Members of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, or equivalent national professional bodies.
On request, we can supply signed certificates, or arrange notarisation, if the authorities ask for this. As legal translation specialists, many clients rely on our services and come back to us for their requirements time and again.
Court schedules can mean tight deadlines for translation - the translation must arrive on time or it may be useless. And in commercial tendering situations the invitation to tender is, in effect, the beginning of a countdown to the final tender date. The translation has to be done as quickly as possible so that the offer and conditions can be worked out. Then the tender itself often has to be translated back into the source language. We have plenty of experience in tendering situations, and of meeting deadlines time and again.
